About Kazuko’s Japanese Table
I was born and raised in Hikone, a city in western Japan. My mother is a talented cook, and she taught me many home cooking techniques. In 2010, my British husband and I moved to Wotton Under Edge, where we lived until 2021, when we moved to Nailsworth.
Courses
Cookery Lessons
Cookery lessons must be booked for a minimum of 4 people.
£40-50 pp for 90-120min session
Special 3-course meal with one cookery lesson
3-course meals with cookery must be booked for a minimum of 2 people.
Minimum 2 people – £60pp
Booking Information
Please take a look at the courses and choose the one you would like to cook.
To book a slot, please email me directly. I usually use seasonal ingredients and change the menus regularly.
Bookings must be made at least 2 weeks in advance of the lesson date. Your booking will be confirmed once payment is received. The cost of the lesson includes all the ingredients, tasting your own cooking with delicious Japanese tea, and my original desserts (except for the dessert course).

Rachael Locke2024-02-19Kazuko was very knowledgeable and we very much enjoyed her instructions and information about the food. Our meal of miso noodles and Gyoza, with Yuzu cheesecake was delicious !! It was a really fun evening and we feel inspired to try now for ourselves!

The starter, sushi we made, and dessert were all out of this world! All the ingredients and condiments were top quality, and we will definitely be doing another course in the future. Samuel Hunt2024-02-04I got a gyoza workshop as a Christmas present, and I have to say it was probably the best one I got! Me and my friends all came away with a full stomach and gyozas for home! We also got recipe cards if we wanted to make more. This was a really fun and enjoyable experience for everyone and Kaz’s personality made the whole thing much better. I would recommend this to everyone, especially teenagers, getting into or who enjoy cooking.

Claire Gordon2024-01-22Had a lovely evening making two different types of gyoza, and Kazuko was really encouraging. We even have another 3 or 4 portions in the freezer as we made so many! They were really delicious and we got lots of tips so that we feel confident to make them ourselves in the future. Kazuko also brought some fried chicken and roast pork miso ramen, but were amazing. We were also left with a receipt card and instructions and how to buy authentic ingredients online. Thank you! :)

Lucy Hilton2024-01-13Fabulous evening at home with Kazuko, she taught us all how to make Nigiri sushi. It was hugely informative and most of all fun. We all learned a lot about Japan and its cuisine. So much better than a restaurant experience and I would strongly recommend Kaz to anyone who is interested in a fun and tasty evening. Look forward to the gyoza lessons in the summer!
